Environmental Impact at a Glance

 

Plastic Crates Rented:

326,351 reusable plastic crates rented instead of single-use cardboard boxes.

 

Trees Saved:

Approximately 4,161 trees were preserved by eliminating the need for disposable cardboard boxes.

 

Carbon Footprint Reduction:

Saved trees absorbed an estimated 199,728 pounds of CO₂ annually—equivalent to removing 99.86 tons of carbon from the atmosphere each year.

Over a 40-year lifespan, these trees will absorb approximately 4,161 tons of CO₂, comparable to:

9.6 million miles driven by a gas-powered car.

The annual energy use of 520 homes.

Avoiding the burning of 4.3 million pounds of coal.

 

Waste Reduction:

Prevented the production and disposal of an estimated 489,526 pounds of cardboard waste—enough to fill over 24 semi-truck trailers.

 

Sustainable Practices:

Reusable crates eliminate waste, reduce landfill contributions, and lower the demand for deforestation and water-intensive cardboard production.
